Rachel & Eddie

Here are a few images from Rachel & Eddie's shoot this weekend. Rachel, who I've known since she was a little girl, is captain of the drill team, sings, acts and is one of Angelina County's Drug Free All Stars. Eddie is the sweetest guy, cute as can be...especially when he flashes that killer megawatt smile. He was such a good sport and was game for everything we tried that day, even though he'd been awake since 5 o'clock that morning!

Eddie & Rachel, had alot of fun working with both of you (and the photogenic horse!) and I hope you like how these turned out. I'll have the rest ready for you to see soon!

We are booked October 8-10th and October 15-17th shooting the pictorial directory for our church. We will have a few senior sessions available for the weekends until the end of October. We are also scheduling our fall family portraits so you can have your portraits back in time for both Christmas cards & Christmas gifts. We'll be posting a special for those soon!

Stephanie

Meet Stephanie! Stephanie is another Diboll senior we shot this weekend. She was alot of fun to work with...she even brought in her cat, Phantom. Besides having gorgeous blue-green eyes, Stephanie's also talented. She's a drummer in the HS band and writes stories. I'll post some pics of you & Phantom once I've finished editing! I loved how this turned out with the drumsticks. Rock on!

Last night we had a session with Mandi. Even though it was a quick session, we got a lot of good images. Since it was the first shoot in the new studio...I couldn't sleep and decided to edit for a bit and thought this one was turned out great! Mandi, hope you like it...let me know what you think!

Kick off...

It's that time of year again! Friday night lights, our camera and Lumberjack action! You can find all the high school action shots (varsity, jv & freshmen football and volleyball) here. We will soon have a category for junior high and hopefully some cross country. We have a wonderful young lady, Kendall, who will be interning and helping us cover all the Jacks action. She's a beautiful, vibrant person and we know she'll bring alot of talent & energy with her.

We've had the pleasure of working with Coach Martel & the Jacks for the past year and look forward to a great season to come. Last week I was able to meet with the seniors on the football team to get a shot for the program cover. This year's seniors are a great bunch of guys and I hope they have a terrific senior year. Here's the version I made up for our instaproofs image...Guys, I hope you like it!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes....

So, ok...many of you never heard that song but that song is going through my mind more & more because everything is changing...the website, the proofing site, the logos, the blog...in general, EVERYTHING. But don't worry...it's all for the better.

First, keep watching the website, we'll be updating the format and photos, linking to our new stuff, getting things fresh for the upcoming year.

Another change is how we get your photos to you. We started with Instaproofs and then tried Printroom for online proofing and ordering. However, many of you have called and emailed that you like the design features at Instaproofs better. So it's back to Instaproofs for all of our sports photography.

BUT...for our portrait sittings, we'll be doing something a little different. There is no way we could possibly show you online ALL the NEW options we are now offering for your portraits...from albums and personalized books to posters and gallery wraps...you just have to see them ALL! We are so excited that we are now able to offer you these wonderful options & products.

Wow! Has 2 years flown by already! It doesn't seem like it but it was July of 2005 when Sarah & I first took Jeff's camera out to the park to "play". Since then, I've "played" my way through photographing several seniors, children, family reunions, engagements, bridals and even a few detail shots from my son's wedding. We've gone from a single film camera to a couple of digitals and several styles of lenses to play with.......don't even get me started with the fun I'm having in photoshop right now.

Let's just say, there's been a lot of growth over these past 24 months and I've learned a little bit more about lighting and portraits. But, my word, it's been so much fun.. the learning and playing and getting to know all of you! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your moments and memories!

We have some fun specials and even a contest planned over the next few weeks and months. We will soon announce our senior models for '08 and we look forward to all that year number 3 has in store for us! Stay tuned....
